Creativity hits anywhere - work from your iPhone & iPad continue on a Mac

Updated: Mar 12, 2020

You might be at your desk on your iMac, in a meeting with your MacBook Pro or riding a train with your iPhone or iPad. With the help of these apps, you can easily transition from one device to another - and back again.

Using Handoff

These apps go beyond basic syncing. They integrate macOS's Handoff feature, which lets you start a task on, say, your iPhone and pick it up instantly on your Mac. When switching from iPhone to Mac to iPad, click the Handoff icon at the end of the Dock; it looks identical to the icon of the app you were using on your iPhone, except it has a small gray phone badge. To switch to your iPhone from your Mac or iPad, activate your phone's app switcher; you'll see the app's icon at the bottom.
